FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are a few of the most common questions we are asked.

Feel free to contact us if you have a question that is not listed here:

For what positions do you recruit?

Based on your specific needs, our primary goal is to match you with the right employees for your organization. Our placement services are provided to clients in the hospitality, agricultural, health care, construction, trucking, and administrative industries on a contractual or permanent basis. While doing this, we strive to build partnerships based on mutual respect, trust, and professionalism.

What is the difference between low-skill and high-skill workers?

The NOC, or National Occupational Classification, defines the difference between low and high skilled workers. In Canada, the National Occupational Classification (NOC) is the national standard for describing occupations. Each occupation is assigned a NOC code based on the skills required to perform it. National Occupational Classification Matrix skill levels 0, A, and B designate highly skilled workers. Skill levels C and D designate low-skilled workers.

What are my obligations to my foreign employee?

Employers are obligated to treat foreign workers the same way they would treat their Canadian employees. Before a foreign worker is granted their work permit, they sign a contract with their potential employer. The contract outlines the duties and responsibilities of the employer and the employee. In the event a foreign worker does not meet the criteria set forth by the employer for its employees, the employer is under no obligation to keep them and can terminate their employment agreement.

Do we have to deduct any other taxes from foreign workers?

Employers are responsible to deduct the same taxes as they would from their Canadian employees.
